My name is Jillian Hinesley and although having recently relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. I graduated Cum Laude from Middle Tennessee State University in December of 2012 with a B.S. of Interdisciplinary Studies: 4-8 Education with a concentration in Language Arts and a minor in Spanish. I will graduate in May of 2014 with a M.S. of Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis.
I am passionate about education and enjoy designing lessons that encourage and challenge students to dig deeper, think critically and creatively, take risks in their learning, and become the best student they can be. During the 2013-2014 school year I will be working as a Resident Teacher with the Martin Institute for Teaching Excellence.
